Dr. Picard is a forensic neuropsychologist, with a specialty in true and feigned memory disorders, neurological insult or injury, and sexually problematic behaviors. She earned her degrees from the College of William and Mary (B.S), Northeastern University (M.S.), and Fordham University (Ph.D., concentrating in Forensic Psychology and Neuropsychology). As part of her doctoral studies, she completed clinical placements at Columbia University Medical Center and Mt. Sinai Hospital. She attended a pre-doctoral internship at UNC School of Medicine, where she spent half of her time at Butner Federal Correctional Complex, and then completed a two year post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Virginia. Dr. Picard has published peer-reviewed manuscripts in the fields of forensic psychology and neuropsychology, and has presented at multiple national and international professional conferences.
